Over Three Centuries of Charming Hospitality
Bucks County’s Premier Venue
In 2018, Craig Galina Wohl took ownership of the historic 1720 property, embarking on a mission to breathe new life into the timeless venue. With a deep appreciation for the property’s rich history, the couple began extensive renovations, carefully preserving its original charm while incorporating contemporary enhancements.
In 2020, they expanded the wedding and event venue by adding a sophisticated bar & restaurant, elevating 1720 to the ultimate destination for weddings, events, and leisurely gatherings. The venue quickly became a go-to spot for the local community, serving upscale cuisine and premium cocktails in an atmosphere that harmoniously blends history with modern elegance.
At 1720, we take pride in preserving the rich heritage of our property, which dates back to the original plantation of 1720. The legacy of Welsh emigrants Simon Mathew and Simon Butler lives on in our meticulously maintained fireplaces, hardwood flooring, exposed wood beams, and wainscoting. Our commitment to honoring the past is matched only by our dedication to providing an exceptional experience for our guests.
Nostalgia Events at 1720 transports you to a world of vintage elegance, where every detail is designed to create unforgettable memories. Our enchanting outdoor garden, complete with a vintage-style gazebo, kissing bench, fire pits, and a charming pergola swing, provides an idyllic backdrop for your special event or engagement photos. The Cameo Ballroom, renovated in 2018, boasts a grand staircase entrance, color-changing LED lights, crystal chandeliers, and more, accommodating up to 300 guests in stunning style.
